What the inquiry form collects
The form collects what you type: your name, email address, profession or field, and project description, and, if you choose to add them, a website or social link, a package, additional options and a target timeline.
To keep out spam, the form also uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that runs in your browser on the page with the form. When you send the form, your IP address and Turnstile’s one-time token are passed to Cloudflare to confirm the check. Cloudflare, which hosts this site, also processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages.
Where it goes
When you send the form, it is checked and turned into a single email, delivered through Cloudflare to my inbox so that I can reply. The website does not store your message: there is no database behind the form. If sending fails, only an error code is recorded, not what you wrote.
My inbox is a Gmail account, so Google also handles your message.
Processing outside Korea
Your message is sent over the internet to the services below when you submit the form.
| Recipient | Country | Items | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | United States | Form contents and technical data | Hosting, form processing, spam protection | Until deleted under the retention rule below |
| Google LLC | United States | Inquiry contents | Receiving and replying to your inquiry | Until deleted under the retention rule below |
How long it is kept
Inquiries that don’t become projects are deleted from my inbox within 12 months of being received. If we work together, I keep a copy of the final project for 5 years so I can help with later requests; this is my own working practice, not a legal requirement. Passwords and access details are never kept in that copy. The contract may set out further records that are kept.
Applicable law
Atelier Aryn is based in the Republic of Korea. Your details are handled in line with Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act. Because Cloudflare and Google operate internationally, your message may be stored or processed outside Korea.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies of its own, stores nothing in your browser, and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. The spam check, Cloudflare Turnstile, loads only on the home page, where the form is. It is used without its optional clearance cookie: it gives your browser a one-time token instead, and looks at signals such as your IP address and browser details to tell people from automated spam. Cloudflare explains this in its Turnstile privacy addendum.
The moving previews in Selected Work, and the enlarged preview, load client websites directly from their own addresses. Those sites are currently hosted by Netlify and load typefaces from Google Fonts, so Netlify and Google receive your IP address when a preview loads. If you browse inside the enlarged preview, that website’s own services, such as embedded videos or music previews, may load too; its own privacy page explains them.
Portfolio and testimonials
Sending an inquiry does not give permission to feature your work or words. Any portfolio use or testimonial is agreed separately, in writing.
